Pippa’s Interests

Pippa's main interests are the reinstatement and improvement of the human-animal bond between a client and their companion animal, through manageable behaviour modification programmes.

Pippa has been affiliated with the veterinary profession throughout her working life, (having been Managing Director of Veterinary Business Development the publishers of Veterinary Times and Veterinary Nursing Times).

Working as a volunteer behaviour assessor at Wood Green Animal Shelter, Huntingdon, provided Pippa with invaluable practical experience in handling dogs. Each dog was assessed and recommendations made as to the most suitable home environment or whether the dog was unsuitable for rehoming.

Pippa’s Qualifications

Pippa Hutchison qualified from the School of Psychology at the University of Southampton with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling. She also holds a post-graduate diploma in Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling (Dip (AS) CABC).  In addition, she is an honorary lecturer at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh.

Pippa has been accredited by the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (ASAB) with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) recognised post nominal of CCAB (Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourist). This qualification is recommended by the RSPCA for people seeking a fully qualified animal behaviourist.
